Teachers - and a TCF Grant-Make a Difference in Manila

Bagong Silang Elementary School is one of the largest public schools in Metro Manila, Philippines. It has 6,000 students per school year, most of whom are from low-income families. Like most of the public elementary schools in the Philippines, it lacks sufficient technology equipment and offers limited teacher training.
In 2016, 30 tablets, used for e-book storage, were donated to the school via an employee-sponsored TeleTech Community Foundation grant. The goal of the grant was to provide the students with more modern tools and uplift their reading experience.
In 2018, Lenny Fullero, a TTEC employee in our Novaliches, Philippines location, applied for a TCF grant to further help the school. Her approved grant funded specialized training of 30 teachers at the school in Basic Computer Education, Office 365 and Teaching Strategies so that they could be up to date with the latest teaching techniques and gain skills they could pass on to their students.
Because of this training, and because Lenny took the time to apply for a foundation grant, the teachers will be able to make an even greater positive impact on the thousands of students they serve each year!
