As we continue with celebrating National Women's History month and International Women's Day, it's the perfect time to share more about how a small group of committed people brought a global program to life. It's a story of vision, collaboration and determination. Meet Lin Stiles, Senior Category Manager,
Global Strategic Sourcing , as she shares her Women in Leadership experience at TTEC.
When I started at TTEC almost 8 years ago, I was the one and only woman in the Global Sourcing and Procurement department. I quickly realized how important it was for me to find mentors and connect with women succeeding and leading at TTEC. I’m blessed to have found Laura Ward, now VP in TTEC’s Office of Transformation, who took me under her wing, as she did with a handful of us seeking connection and advice on ways to navigate the culture and thrive at TTEC.
A similar movement was happening in the Eastern United States with Colleen Ritchie, now Senior Vice President of Operations, where the demand for her time to mentor exploded as well. So the roots of WIL happened over cafeteria meetings and dinners together. Visions and ideas were shared. Local events were planned and the wheels were set in motion.
Fast forward to today, WIL just celebrated it’s 5 year anniversary, with Colleen and Laura leading our community of members across the globe. We have thriving global local communities. We gather each month over Zoom to connect on a topic and, as our tag line states, to ”Get Involved. Get Real. Get Results.” Monthly speakers, both internal and external, give us institutional knowledge and expertise in areas identified as important to WIL. We track progress towards Executive Committee’s commitment to diversity of all kinds in leadership roles.
WIL is positively shaping our business and driving change. If you're part of the TTEC family, I encourage you to get involved, as I have, to be inspired and uplifted by some super incredible women. Kaene Robie and I had the opportunity to share about WIL on TTEC’s Talent Show this week on LinkedIn Live. If you're not part of TTEC, we share ways that you can bring an Employee Resource Group to life in your own organization. And if you have a similar group, we encourage you to join!
We're also proud to share with you the recent recognition received for Women of the Year in Sales and Services Stevies Awards.
Can you believe what can happen in 5 years? Join us in celebrating Women in Leadership's 5th anniversay.
TTEC team, celebrate International Women's Day and share your appreciate to your colleague's here!
