How do you connect?

In today’s world, technology enables us to connect with each other in more way than ever. But in the end, it’s how we connect on a human level that really matters.
No matter what we do, where we are, or how far we go, we are never far from the presence of technology or social communication. We can now be virtually present in more places than one while being physically present in just one. With a press of a button we are now connected and know exactly what another person is doing in real time on the other side of the world. We can digitally stretch ourselves to become virtually present during important events like the birth of a child, witness a marriage proposal or listen to your favorite artist singing live 100s of miles away, all while preparing dinner within the comfort of your home.
The human connection can be supplemented by the advance of technology-led communication. Yet it can also be tempting to essentially do too much and instead cause more separation. One example is the myth that we can multitask. There is no such thing. You can be physically and virtually present in two different locations, but you cannot be 100% mentally present in in both. Choosing to be mentally present fosters that human connection. If you choose to juggle the virtual with physical, one or both will suffer.
Here at TTEC, how we connect is everything. Yes, we are connected in more ways than ever before through Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Messenger, virtual conference, phone and text, to name a few. And that is all for naught if we disregard the importance of a human interaction, a human voice and a human touch. We strive to embrace and humanize every interaction in person or online. It’s the human connections that is at the heart of all we do.
